Thyroid, Post Menopause
- Menopause is a natural biological process that all women experience. There is no rise in the secretion of androgens, but a fall in the estrogen levels after menopause causes a relative overreaction of androgens, which contributes to hair loss. This can be countered by improving the internal cellular strength to withstand external factors that damage and weaken the cell.
- Lower estrogen levels during menopause causes a relative increase of androgens leading to pattern hair loss. The demand for nutrients is high during menopause. Menopause also impacts the metabolic rate leading to an increased requirement of nutrients therefore easily compromising the hair cycle. The prevalence of hypothyroid in peri and post menopausal women is high 12.5%.
- Nutrients are also responsible for secretion of hormones, neurotransmitters, chemical mediators, regulators of cell function, defense and immunity. Inability to keep up to these functions manifests as oxidative stress, compromised immune response, inability to counter inflammation, cellular aging and senescence. Hair being a tissue with a high metabolic rate, even a modest imbalance, affects the growth cycle converting mitosis to apoptosis.
- Multiple nutrient deficiencies affecting thyroid function and erythropoiesis contribute to hair loss. Nutrients are interdependent on each other for biological actions, deficiency of one essential nutrient affects multiple biological events.
- When there is continuous, accumulation of ROS (Free radicals) and toxins, the body directs its resources to maintaining vital functions and neglects or arrests the biological activity in other less important cells. The first functionless system to suffer is hair growth, next is thyroid or uterus. Thyroid cannot manufacture the hormones unless there is availability of the required raw material and nutrient fuel for biological activity.
- Hormones are a sequence of poly peptides and micro nutrients. Dieting, stress, sleep, pollution, smoking, alcohol, all lead to generation of ROS increasing demand for antioxidant defense and adding to the deficiency in nutrient supply. Hence the use of well calculated synergistic supplements can reverse the deterioration of thyroid function, instead of depending on readymade hormone pills, which further make the gland functionless.
Your Kit
“Thyroid - Post Menopause Kit”
*This is the Kit suggested by us, take a
snapshot of the Kit and send it to your respective doctor.
Key Ingredients & Roles
With the benefits of Kelp seaweed extract, Egg shell membrane, Curcumin,
N- acetyl cysteine, Vitamin D3, Shatavari, Milk thistle
etc.
Kelp sea weed
Iodine is needed for hormone production in the human body. Sea
kelp supplements provide essential iodine levels for regulating
the body’s hormone production.
Vitamin D3
Vitamin D3 Supplementation among hypothyroid patients for 12
weeks improved serum TSH and calcium concentration. It directly
stimulates hair growth from dermal papilla cells.
Egg shell membrane
It improves hair thickness and appearance of hair and shows a
reduction in hair breakage. ESM improves bone mineral density
and reduces osteoporosis.
Shatavari
It balances the hormone and reduces post menopausal symptoms.
Milk thistle
It works as an antioxidant reduces hormonal imbalance. It
strengthens immune system. It improves insulin sensitivity and
decrease blood sugar level.
N-acetyl cysteine
It is a powerful antioxidant which prevent from free radical
damage.
