Post menopause, Stress
- Menopause is a natural biological process that all women experience. There is no rise in the secretion of androgens, but a fall in the estrogen levels after menopause causes a relative overreaction of androgens, which contributes to hair loss. This can be countered by improving the internal cellular strength to withstand external factors that damage and weaken the cell.
- Lower estrogen levels during menopause causes a relative increase of androgens leading to pattern hair loss. The demand for nutrients is high during menopause. Menopause also impacts the metabolic rate leading to an increased requirement of nutrients therefore easily compromising the hair cycle.
- During this period, it is important to nutritiously support women and improve the cellular environment to counter free radicals and oxidative stress, restoring cell function and wellness.
- Stress causes nutritional imbalance and metabolic imbalance. Hair growth during such adaptation is arrested in order to conserve the nutrients and redirect them to more important vital functions.
- The conversion of testosterone to DHT causes the hair loss. Studies recognized that DHT releases TGFβ which is responsible for miniaturization. Now we know that the release of TGFβ is mediated by ROS. Latent TGFβ in the extracellular matrix is also activated by ROS. Experiments have revealed that using free radical scavenger to neutralize the ROS can block the release of TGFβ, thus countering the action of DHT.
- Stress induced hair loss is mediated by substance P which is known to act through ROS. Antioxidants can counteract the effects of ROS and mitigate hair loss.
- Stress leads to neurochemical, neurotransmitter and hormonal alterations through sympathetic nervous system, hypothalamic – pituatory – adrenal (HPA) axis and substance P, mediated by stress.
- Elevation in allostatic load (chronic stress lead to the wear and tear of cells) causes sleep deprivation, increase appetite, increase blood pressure, risk of cardiovascular disease and metabolic syndrome.
- Stress escalates physiological demand for energy, oxygen utilization, cellular functions, requiring enzymes, cofactors, catalysts and micronutrients.

“Post Menopause - Stress Kit”
*This is the Kit suggested by us, take a
snapshot of the Kit and send it to your respective doctor.
Key Ingredients & Roles
With added advantages of Curcumin, EPA and DHA (omega 3 fatty acid),
shatavari, spirulina, Moringa leaf extract, Lactoferrin and
Colostrums etc.
Curcumin
It improves the oxidative stress and inflammatory biomarkers in
healthy post menopausal women. It reduces hot flashes in post
menopausal women.
EPA and DHA (
Omega 3 fatty acid)
Omega 3 works as an anti-inflammatory and immune modulatory.
Omega 3 fatty acid intake in post menopausal women reduces
depression.
Shatavari
This phytoestrogen balances the overall estrogen levels in the
body by preventing post menopausal bone loss & muscle loss,
reduces hot flashes symptoms.
Spirulina
It increases level of serotonin which can help with depression
and anxiety. Packed with abundant of antioxidants that help in
protecting the body against oxidative stress and boosts immunity
helps fight anemia, reduces hormonal imbalance and fatigue
during post menopause.
Moringa leaf extract
It treats various infections, modulating the immune system and
works as an antioxidant. It is a rich source of biotin activates
the dormant hair follicles thereby enhancing hair growth on the
bald areas.
Melatonin
It plays an important role in the regulation of the circadian
rhythm (sleep /wake cycle) mood and immune system. Peri- and
postmenopausal women often complain of difficulties initiating
and/or maintaining sleep, with frequent nocturnal and early
morning awakenings.
Melatonin is known most for its beneficial effects on sleep through its resynchronization of circadian rhythms.
