Continued exposure to these non androgenic factors, promotes gradual cellular dysfunction and accumulation of ROS, which is proven to increase the sensitivity of androgen receptors (AR) making them hyper sensitive to normal circulating androgens, without any rise in androgen levels.
- ROS also trigger the release of inflammatory cytokines which further augment various AR sensitive pathways. Thus, the follicles have now become sensitive to normal androgens and DHT from relentless exposure to non androgenic factors.
- Nutrients are also responsible for secretion of hormones, neurotransmitters, chemical mediators, regulators of cell function, defense and immunity. Inability to keep up to these functions manifests as oxidative stress, compromised immune response, inability to counter inflammation, cellular aging and senescence. Hair being a tissue with a high metabolic rate, even a modest imbalance, affects the growth cycle converting mitosis to apoptosis.
- The gut microbiome can also regulate the hormone (androgen, estrogen and DHT) that controls the transition between anagen, catagen and telogen phase of hair.

Quercetin

factors via activation of MAPK/CREB signaling pathway. It
inhibits the production of DHT from testosterone by blocking the
action of 5 alpha reductase enzymes which prevents balding of
the scalp in AGA.
Co enzyme -Q10
It improves the intestinal flora and can increase the beneficial

Omega 3 fatty acids
It controls intestinal inflammation, by action against
